School Pictures (Here at last!)

Here are some late taken pictures of Matthew, Becky, and Jacob for school. I was going to take them the first day of school, but never got around to it. So finally, I took the time today to do it!

Hope you enjoy them!

*Note: Although Aaron has quite a few years ahead of him before he starts school, he was just too cute to pass up. :)

Flowers in my yard

When I went for a walk around my house, I saw these pretty flowers and as always, just HAD to get some shots of them. :)

Eating graham crackers for the first time :)

Just the other day we gave Aaron graham crackers for the fist time. He really liked them and would try to pick them up, but he still doesn't have the picking up with two fingers down yet. :)

Playing with Sparklers

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've really busy between school and a lot of house work. A week ago we all spent some time outside playing games and having family time. When it got dark, we played with some sparklers. Here are some pictures of the other kids playing with them.

Blessings!

Fresh picked apples!

All this week has been such a blessing. Very nice not too hot days, a family that loves you, just knowing that God is always there to take care of you. All of those are blessings to me. Right now we are living in a rental house and I have realized sometimes all you want are the simple things in life. For instance, I have been sleeping in a loft where you go up the stairs and then right in front of you is my bed. And to get to the parents room and the boys room, you have to go through mine. It is pretty annoying at times. So what I'm trying to say is all I want at our new house is a room that you don't have to go through to get to other rooms and a door. Pretty simple huh? Anyway, here are some more pictures that I've taken through out the summer.

Saving the lives of the unborn

Something that has really pressed on my mind lately is abortion. I think of all those helpless babies that die because of the parents carelessness or because they might have some sort disability. I think that just because the baby might have some disability, or down syndrome, or that you are trying to cover up your sin, doesn't mean that it is just a worthless creature that can be thrown away; but that baby is a very special blessing that God gave to you. Everything is wonderfully made by God. I have an Aunt that has Down Syndrome and you know what? She is loved very much! She is a very beautiful young lady and I think that it is just so wonderful that God put her in our family. We are very blessed to have her on this earth with us. There are more deaths of babies by abortion than there are of sickness or accidents. To me, that is a very sad thing to think about.

Psalm 127:3 says:
"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

Children are a blessing from God, and when you abort those babies, you are throwing away that special gift and blessing that God has given you.

A Womans Heart

Remains of Hurricane Ike

On Sunday we got a little feel for a hurricane! With winds 70 to 80 mph and power out, it was very scary! We are SO thankful to God that we didn't have any tree's or major debree fall into our yard. The next morning I walked down our road for a little bit and couldn't believe some of the damage that this storm had done. Here are a few pictures of what I saw. The pictures that I took don't show nearly as much damage as there was elsewhere. God is so good and awesome for protecting my family and I from the storm. :)
